Pipella Law sponsored several families through the 2015 SABIS Christmas Elf Program. The Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society (SABIS) is dedicated to helping adults who have acquired brain injury access the community support they need in order to live as independently as possible within their community.
“Elf yourself! Christmas Basket Program”
Pipella Law is one of several dedicated supporters of the SABIS, “Christmas Basket Program.” The excellent work that SABIS does makes it possible for those in need to receive some warmth from the community during the Christmas season.
Get involved with SABIS
Anyone could get involved in the annual fundraiser by sponsoring a SABIS client, or the family of one of the SABIS clients, by purchasing items from their personal wish list. Pipella Law participated by sponsoring a few families.
Most commonly requested items for donation
This following is a short list of what the SABIS clients identified as the most commonly requested items for donation including:
- Grocery store gift cards (Superstore, Co-op, Safeway);
- Transit tickets;
- Store gift cards (Walmart, Sears, Canadian Tire, Winners, HomeSense);
- Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste);
