Taking full advantage of the gorgeous weather, the 2nd annual MADD Calgary Golf Tournament took place June 15th at Calgary’s McKenzie Meadows Golf Course. Over 80 golfers took to the links for a day of good food, good fun, and great prizes—double the number of last year’s attendees. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Calgary’s chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Pipella Law not only sponsored a hole, but also a team, made up of first responders from the Calgary Fire Department.
MADD: Drivers for Justice
A grassroots, volunteer-driven organization, MADD is “committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of this violent crime.” Thousands of Canadians are killed or injured every year because of drunk driving, and thousands more are impacted by this senseless—and preventable—crime.
MADD Calgary works with businesses, communities, and law enforcement to:
- Offer support services to victims and survivors;
- Increase awareness about the extreme dangers of impaired driving; and
- Save lives on Alberta’s roads.
As strong advocates for victims, Pipella Law could not be happier, or prouder to work with MADD.
Pipella Law: Proud to Support MADD
Just as the hardworking volunteers at MADD strive to help those affected by the tragedy of impaired driving recover and lead independent lives, Pipella Law works to ensure that those injured by the negligence or actions of others are financially compensated.
Strong community support combined with financial security eases the trauma of debilitating injuries and lets the afflicted, live life on their own terms.
As tireless advocates for victims both in, and out of, the courtroom, Pipella Law is proud to have supported the MADD Calgary Golf Tournament.
